Mercure Insurance, a fifth generation, family- owned independent insurance agency is a well established and well known agency in Southeastern Michigan. After nearly 20 years of using their legacy management system, agency owner, Dan Mercure Jr., decided that between annual price increases and a lack of support it was time to evaluate other options. The process was worth the time and effort as he found a new provider in Strategic Insurance Software that provided his agency with significant savings, comprehensive capabilities and a great transition. Finding the Right Partner

After mounting frustrations, Dan began researching alternate agency management systems when he came across Strategic Insurance Software and Partner XE. It was then at the Michigan Insurance Agents Convention in Grand Rapids he began talking to a few of the AMS reps, including Jordan Owens, Sales Manager at Strategic Insurance Software. Transitioning to Partner XE

With change, comes the unknown, but after building a relationship with the people at SIS, Dan trusted them to get the transition done as smoothly as possible. “I’m not going to lie, my team was anxious when it came time to move systems but having a point of contact and actually getting them on the phone when I called made the difference. Customer Service was unheard of when we were using our other system,” Dan said. “From the top down, the people at SIS were always honest and always available. I mean being off any system for a week is going to bring its challenges, but what we did was set up folders for each day of the week – this way when someone was making an activity or something along those lines it would be easy to document. Although it wasn’t a perfect process, we were able to go about our day to day responsibilities with minimal interruption.”
