Managing Work Flow As we’ve mentioned in some of our previous posts, it is important for you to take a good, hard look at your agency’s processes to ensure you’re maximizing your time and efforts.  This can seem like a daunting task, but it can be surprisingly easy when you break down your processes and see how they fit with your agency management system.

Start by evaluating your processes. Check in with your employees to identify your systems and get them together to talk about how processes happen from start to finish. Hit topics like:

  • Handling quoting and renewals
  • Writing policies
  • Handling collections
  • Integrating with your carriers via real rime connections
  • Retaining business and customer communication
  • Actively pursuing new business

As you’re talking through each step with your team, write them down. Look over each and evaluate, asking questions like: Where are the bottlenecks? How can things move faster? Can certain steps be eliminated?

Once you’ve honed your agency’s systems and processes, look to your agency management system to see how you can map your workflow to your system. Any good system should integrate well with your agency’s needs, but you must first identify those opportunities for increased efficiency.  Here are some great ways your agency management system can help your processes work faster and smarter:
